Boston streets are full of history, but it is not often that we are approached with exclusive materials pertaining to a neighborhood. Arc Design is breaking ground at 6 Union Park for our next development project, and a neighbor reached out with some insight on the history behind the coveted South End neighborhood. Equipped with photos from days past, we are able to have a new understanding of what makes the brownstones of Boston truly special and beautiful pieces of time. Below we have shared photographs of the original owner, images of the neighborhood back when, and some information on the architect of 6 Union Park, Calvin Ryder. The final renderings are in for Arc Design's premier Martha's Vineyard project, 2 Pierce Lane. Take a look through the kitchen, living area, and the master bath of this single family colonial. This project is set for completion in June of 2016, and will play host to high end, modern finishes, with all the familiar charm of a New England home.
A new year brings new projects - while we are still working on multiple homes for purchase, an opportunity arose for Arc Design to tap into uncharted territory for the company.
Our first rental condominium was completed in December of 2015. 940 Waters Avenue is a modern 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo with a ski chalet vibe. This rental is fitted with brand new luxe furniture pieces, and is located steps from the center of town in Aspen, Colorado. Within a month of entering the market, it has become a popular spot to get cozy après ski.

New renderings have come in for 90 Waltham Street in the South End. As the project nears completion, we are excited to see the interior landscape come to light. Updates are to follow soon.
Stemming from the success of other projects in the area, Arc Design along with Embarc Studios, are in the preliminary design stages of another historic townhouse conversion in the very sought after 8 Streets district in Boston’s South End. An extensive planned excavation of the basement of this property will allow the development to convert this five story brownstone into two luxury triplexes, comprising of six total floors. Set to begin construction in late 2015, this project will deliver the high end luxury finishes and amenities as our previous projects in the area have done, including large backyard and attached patios, and sprawling roof decks. This location is home for South End staples like the restaurant Coppa, and the Peter's Park Joe Wex dog park.

Construction is well under way and nearing the wrap up at 90 Waltham Street. Located in Boston’s South End Historic 8 Streets District, this property, formally a twelve unit boarding house, is being converted into three cutting edge luxury duplexes. Arc Design has teamed up with Embarc Studios to design a wide-open contemporary layout which includes top of the line appliances and finishes, floor-to-ceiling windows, and floating staircases, all contained within the six story brick historic row house. The final product will add a backyard garden patio, a total of four patio decks, and a large roof deck. With two of the units already under agreement, and the final unit about to hit the market, this project’s anticipated completion date is in late September of 2015.
Arc Design and its partners will eventually develop 423 Beacon Street into luxury condos right in the middle of Boston’s prestigious Back Bay neighborhood. The existing building is a historic brownstone located on one of Boston’s most famous and sought after streets. While this project is just in the preliminary planning stages, Arc Design and partners are very excited to see this project develop and to take advantage of the extremely hot Back Bay Market.
Arc Design is particularly excited about the 2 Pierce Lane Project, as it is the first project the company has done on the island of Martha’s Vineyard. Located right in the middle of Edgartown, just a few blocks from the ocean’s edge is this historic single-family colonial. Arc Design, teaming again with Embarc Studios, set their design to transform the interior of the house into a modern-aged home, including all of the newest and state of the art finishes, while still preserving the historic exterior look of quintessential New England. Among the new additions to the home are a new swimming pool and landscaping, a conversion of an existing garage into a pool house, construction of a new attached covered garage, a large eating deck off of a new modernized kitchen, and sprawling dormers to create space for a stunning master suite. Construction is set to begin in September of 2015.

Since Arc Design's establishment in 2013, the company has gained plenty of press in the Greater Boston area. Publishers such as Boston Common Magazine, the Boston Herald, and Curbed Boston have picked up on the projects that Arc Design has since completed. Back in 2011 before the launch of Arc Design, CEO Tim Caraboolad finished his first project, where he was head of the development team. Buildings with such curb appeal and fantastic, contemporary interior stylings grace the pages of said publications and word quickly spread about the "new kid on the block".
